Women for Murphy Launches Roundtable Series

July 13 2012 by Nick Fabiani

Today was the first in a series of roundtables organized by Women for Murphy. Chris will be travelling the state and talking to women from all walks of life about the issues that matter most to them, from jobs and the economy to health care and reproductive rights. The group discussed a wide range of issues: paycheck fairness, healthcare, family values and even campaign strategy.

Many expressed concern for how entire families are impacted when women in the workforce receive less compensation for their time on the job than men. All of the roundtable participants also voiced their support for the healthcare legislation, citing personal experiences with how having access to good healthcare has improved their quality of living. You can watch a video from one of our supporters, Rachel Garron, talking about why she supports Chris after the roundtable below.
